Compacts EVERY TIME I use emails

Hi, I get asked every time I use email if I want to compact it.
- It WAS asking me every 100 logins - now every time.
- I've deleted nearly all emails & cleared deleted item folder.
Now what??? Thanks, Rex.

This is Windows Mail and not Outlook Express, correct?

Tools | Options | Advanced | Maintenance. Is it set to compact at 100?

By default the compaction process asks to run after you've opened
and closed Windows Mail 100 times. That frequency can be adjusted
under Tools, Options, Advanced, Maintenance. Once you let it do its
thing, it should not bother you again for another 100 runs.

If yours is still preset for 100 runs, yet it wants to run each time,
perhaps the compaction process is not completing.
If so, try running the various repair functions in the WMUtil program:
