I am using Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) and I have an older
spreadsheet program to install that I understand should be run in a
"Compatibility Mode". May I ask for additional information on this? How
would I do this?

Bill:
Many thanks for the help. I am talking about an old Lotus 123 application
circa 1996 that I used for years. It fits like an old shoe and I am very
comfortable with it. Everything seems to be working perfectly except for the
color palette (I can work around this though.) Thanks again - it is really a
big deal for me.

Lotus 123? I think modern Microsoft Excel versions should open those
files.

Or if not, try Open Office (free - www.openoffice.org and download the
Spreadsheet application from that suite).
