Attempted to install Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional which generated the
message: There is a known compatibility issue. Could find no specifics on
what the specific issue was on the microsoft or adobe websiste. Working with
Vista Ultimate on a 2.4Ghz machine with 4 Gb DDR memory. Guidance sought

Does the Reader actually work? I have had compatability issues rais
there head in the past with no noticable problems. Try installing i
compatability mode

The compatibility issue is that it is an older and unsupported version, you
need to install a current version that is supported.

Greetings: This is Acrobat 6 Professional, not just the reader. Guidance
sought on how to launch compatibility mode in Vista Ultimate.

Obtain a version of Adobe Acrobat that is certified as Vista-compatible
by Adobe.

Unfortunately, only Adobe Acrobat version 8.1 or later is supported on
Windows
Vista. Here is the related support page on Adobe's website:
