I downloaded the SP2 and it failed, so I tried to
download it again when I noticed the progress bar just
flew by to the middle. What I'm going to assume here is
some of the updates still resided on my computer but
couldn't load. So here's what I have done, reverted back
to original boot.ini -- removed any SP2 packs from the
Add/Remove program setup -- and deleted any files I could
in the C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution folder.

Now if anyone can say I've done something wrong here,
speak up and let us all know, otherwise use at your own
risk.
