I went to see when the last time my complete PC image was made, on boot
up I entered F8 and went to repair PC and went to complete PC backup.
There was none made. So I rebooted and went to backup and restore center
to make one. There is no backup button. Is this because I have home
Premium?

It's not offered on Home Premium. Is there a Freeware program that I
could use to make it appear on the System repair menu?

Vista Home Premium doesn't have Complete PC Backup. I suggest you use an
imaging/backup program like Acronis True Image, image your system, and
store the image(s) on an external hard drive. I believe True Image has an
option to create a special hidden partition for recovery, also. I haven't
ever used that feature of TI so can't comment on how it works.

Hi venom,

The free version of this is small, fast, reliable.

You can schedule images of drives or partitions and restore in minutes
using the boot disc.

You can also mount the image from within the program and restore
individuall files/ folders.

Works just fine--provides another backup source.
