I installed the RC version of Windows 7 and wanted to go back to Windows
Vista but when I try to Install Windows Vista Home Basic back on to my
Laptop It won't complete installation it don't say there's an error
anything it just sits there. My laptop came with Windows Vista Home
Basic on it, so I know it can run it. I have tried a clean install
already.

Here is my laptop's details
-Acer Aspire 5335 (My Laptop)
-Intel Celeron Processor 585 (2.16 GHz, 667 MHz, 1 MB L2 cache)
-Up to 732 MB Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M
-2 GB DDR2
-250 GB HDD
-DVD Super Multi DL

Are you trying to reinstall Vista Home Basic using a installation DVD that
came with your laptop or from a recovery partition on your laptop?
In ether case are you following the documentation that came with your laptop
on how to reinstall the OS?

Clean the disc thoroughly, for starters.

I'm very surprised this worked for your friend since Dell installation DVDs
look for a Dell motherboard. This is why you're getting nowhere trying to
use this installation DVD on your Acer.

Contact Acer for recovery media for your laptop. It will not be expensive.
