Composing true html mail

This has probably been asked in various forms, but I still have not read a
satisfactory answer. I regular receive emails or newsletters in html, such
as those from Microsoft no less. They came across nicely in Live Mail
desktop or via the browser when I go to my web mail box.

The problem with the suggestion of saving the html mail in the Stationary
folder and apply that as a format is that the stationary often does not work
when you view the email from the browser.

I tried cut and paste into Live Mail from the desktop, but when I opened the
received html mail, all the graphic elements also came as attachments.

What I really want is to compose and send html mail in one piece, that is,
without all the graphic attachments and html mail would display correctly
whether I view it from Live Mail desktop or via the browser from the web
mail box, just like those html mails I get them from Microsoft.

Any ideas? I have access to Dreamweaver, for example, to compose if needed.

Graphics without attachments would require links to pictures on the Web.
Graphics are always linked to an picture outside of the body of the html
code. If the link points to a file on your computer, then the picture is
attached to the html email when it is sent.

WL Mail by default composes HTML emails. Your sticking point by the sounds
of things is image files. These have to live on the net in a publicly
accessible place and you simply point your <img src=""> tag to that place.
