Hello:

After updating XP Media Center with KB925902 I had the same error issue as
many others with the Realtec HD Audio. I then put in the patch 935448.

The error went away however my computer now has othere issues. Maybe someone
else knows about this issue and can point me in the correct direction the
correct it.

I was running Winamp version 508 it now will no longer play any cd audio. It
may be other files are not working either but not sure. Windows Media Player
plays the files fine so I just removed Win Amp. Any suggestions to this
would be great.

Now a bigger issue and more important to me than Winamp. After this update
for some reason my computer now has a mind of its own. On reboot sometimes
Windows loads up to a screen resolution of 800x600 and other times it loads
up set to 1024x768. You never know what resolution you will get when you
boot. Any Ideas why this is happening?

One last thing also since the updates. When in IE sometimes the screen goes
black and freezes.

Thanks for any help available and hope it is not just me that has seen these
issues.

Computer is an Acer Aspire ASL310-EC325M. Have been unable to get to the
driver update site of Acer to check for new video drivers.

Kevin

Hm, what about the latest version 5.33 of WinAmp?

Not really. Which applications are executed while Windows boots?
Start -> Run -> msconfig -> System Start

Bye,
