Hi, hope someone can help.

I am trying to update my PC, SP2 downloads fine from the update website and
will commence install without a problem.

However, when the install gets to the 'running processes' part, it freezes,
the computer is still operable though so I can abort the installation process.

Any help help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure to shut down any background applications, including anti-virus.

CTRL+ALT+DEL then click the Processes tab, end anything that is running
under your username (don't touch system or services) - just be sure to save
any unsaved data first!

Try the install then.
