After I installed the recommended updates and SP2 my computer will now
randomly freeze for 30-60seconds. It never did this before.......any reason
why its freezing after the updates were installed? Its rather irritating.

have had only 1GB free before and it has never froze.

Did you clean the system of spyware before installation? If not, uninstall
SP2, download, install, update and scan with Ad-aware SE:
http://www.lavasoftusa.com
Then re-install SP2 (not the older fixes). No updates other than SP2 are
required since it replaces all previous updates.

Yes I ran everything I had before I installed it. I started freezing a good
bit after the updates were installed.

Try a search?

http://www.google.com/search?q=(DEP+...amicrosoft.com

http://groups.google.com/groups?q=(a...ff=1&scoring=d

BTW you may get better help from a newsgroup which specializes
in your OS or discusses your particular mainboard.

Good luck
