Computer froze after update

fault message reads: instruction 0x745f2780 points to memory up 0x00000000
The read or wright process ("Read") in the memory failed. (translated as best
as I could from Dutch to English) This happened after trying to install the
latest updates from September. After okÃ*ng the install it repeatedly
requested the install. I restarted the computer and now its frozen. I have
tried to back date windows a few days. This has not helped . I tried a hkey
.........svchost to read BITS W ??? (forgoten what it was exactly but have
undone this move) but this to did not help. PLEASE SOME ONE HELP
