I'm on a Compaq Presario laptop V3231 model running Vista Business edition.
The computer seems to get confused about what to do when it's supposed to
hibernate or sleep.
The problem pops up when I want to close the lid. I have it set in the
settings to Hibernate when I close the lid. So if I have the computer
running, and I close the lid, it's supposed to hibernate, right? Well, it
doesn't.
The screen stays on (I can see it lit up) until it turns off per the power
settings (i.e., if I've got it set to turn off the screen after 5 minutes)
.... then it'll eventually hibernate or sleep, but only because that's what
the power settings are.
When I open it back up, it starts up.
Or, if I set the computer to sleep or hibernate, and wait for it to do so,
and then close the lid (while it's asleep or hibernating), when I close the
lid it wakes up. It's like it gets everything backward.
Anyone else have this issue?
