hi,

After I installed service pack 2 everytime I log onto a domain it would
reboot itself. But when I'm logged on locally, everything works fine. Before
service pack 2, I was able to log onto the domain without any problems.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

"KayC",

I am sorry you are running into this issue. How far do you get in logging
into a domain before it reboots itself. Further, are you able to join a
domain without involuntarily rebooting? Currently released Windows
operating systems require a reboot after joining a domain as part of the
conversion process, but just the one time.

While the installation of Service Pack 2 appears to be a catalyst to this
problem, the issue here seems
to be one for a newsgroup devoted to networking or domain issues. Please
post this question to the following newsgroups, all at once, as they have
people with more experience in this issue and can help you more
quickly.

microsoft.public.windowsxp.security_admin
microsoft.public.windowsxp.configuration_manage
microsoft.public.windowsxp.perform_maintain
microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support
microsoft.public.windowsxp.configuration_manage

Sincerely,

To install items from Windows Update, you must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group. If your computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may also prevent you from completing this procedure. CaptainJack Windows Update 2 04-15-2004 01:11 PM
