I bought a new Dell computer with the Windows Vista Home Premium. The system
specs are as follows, Dell Inspiron 531 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core
Processor 3800+ 2.0 GHz 1982 MB 32-bit Operating System.

My computer constantly freezes up with lines in the monitor. I have to shut
computer down with button on front and restart computer. I have been working
with Dell to resolve the problem for the past 45 days and have not been able
to resolve my issue. Do you have any suggestions?

If the manufacturer can't fix it in that amount of time, I'd say they should
take it back and send you a new one.

If your machine came to you this way and never did work right, return it 4
weeks ago. Don't put up with it one more moment.

If this occurred after you did something, reinstall or roll it back or
system recover. If you have already done this, send it back.

I am trying to work that direction but the customer service has not
responded. The technician have stated it is a Vista software problem that all
computers are dealing with, not just Dell. But my daughter bought a Dell a
few weeks later with Vista and is not having this problem. I am very
frustrated.

I agree and I've tryed been trying to get customer service with Dell to email
me back on how I can send this back. It was bought at Walmart locally as a
christmas gift and I can't find out the process to send it back to Dell for a
replacement.
