Mark,
Boot to Safe Mode and either uninstall all of the updates that were just
installed or use System Restore to roll the system back to the restore
point created for the FIRST installed update.
The first method is preferred.
Then install them one at a time to determine which one is causing the issue.
If one of the updates is for a hardware driver, advise you NOT to
install it from Windows Update. Rather, go to the hardware
manufacturer's web site and obtain it from there.
