I had the same problem with the last update but the computer would not start
in any mode. I had to hunt down the windows disk and repair windows. There is
going to be a lot of real unhappy people when they try to start there
computer today.

I tried to repair windows with the windows disk, but I got stuck in the
command shell, what should I do?
Do you know how to run System Restore from the command shell in Repair
Windows mode?
Or uninstall the update in this mode?
Thanks a lot!!!

I tried that site and can't get past Part I. After completeing part I, it
still won't go into windows, even in safe mode. I'm really stuck and
frustrated here...

Hi Jason
This is what I did, and it works!
Boot up with the Windows Disk, once you are in the Setup screen, choose
Setup (Enter), the setup will scan your disk looking for previous Windows. It
will find your XP, once it found it, it will prompt to setup or "recover",
choose Recover (R). The setup will copy the system files to your disk, and it
will look like a clean installation, but it is not.
Follow all the installation process, at the end, you will have your system
back to normal, like I did (both my PC and laptop )
I hope I could help you!
