HELP. I updated XP Home edition for SP2. I got the message
that the installation was complete and to restart the
computer. Now it keeps restarting in a loop after the line
PXE-MOF exiting Intel boot agent
Is there something I can do?

Howdy Pascal,
I take it you answered "yes" to restart --- after SP2 completed. Correct?

When you power-up the pc, well before Windows would start, tap & keep tapping F8 Function key so that you can select Safe Mode.
Once logged in, run MSCONFIG. See what is listed under Startup Tab.

On a side -issue: turn off "reboot on error".
Go into your Control Panel, system properties, in the "Advanced" TAB and
in the recovery section....click the "settings" button.
"Un-check" the "automatically restart" line. Do the apply change, make
clean exit.

Thanks Maurice but even in safe mode it does the same. It
keeps going back to the black entry screen with Intel boot
agent

Study / review the following. The idea is to hopefully go back to system before SP2. Do a proper "preparation".
And after install SP2.

Some computer's mother board Bios do not match the SP2, make sure that your
PC manufactorer's announcement for the relevant update. You should visit
their home pages for more information before next renewal.

Maurice,
I have a Toshiba with only a recovery disk for the whole
system; The only option is to reinstall with disk reformat.
I also do not have a floppy drive
Do you have a solution?

Without a floppy drive , and having only a Recovery CD, this bars the ways to get into XP's Recovery Console.
You may consider these:
Restarting the system, tapping F8-Function key and see what options come up.
You might select Last Known Good --- to see if it results in a registry restore & a working o.s.
