Recently our Vista Ultimate PC has started to download 30 updates over and
over, and installs them over and over. Any potential solutions to put a stop
to this unwelcome activity. I am running the first public SP1 beta on this
PC and want to get past this so that I can install the released version of
SP1.

First, you need to immediately uninstall the beta SP1, then install
the released version of SP1.

Wehn computer boots up before the windows vista bar start gliding press the f8 key it should bring up a menu

select Repair Computer
When it is finished loading
select Restore computer to an earlier point
that will bring up another menu after it is done loading
select a system restore point that doesnt have anything saying update in it
will take awhile to restore, but afterwards system should be fine
since microsoft pulled the update it should be fine to receive future updates.
