conflict item during sync

I am presently using 2002 and outlook 2003. During sync, there is a
conflict item which was identified as "!" but the conflict cannot be solved
with the handling of conflict function in the Active sync 3.7.1.

I guess probably it is due to one item in outlook (in calendar or contact)
that cannot be sync with PPC because of language/ format conflict. Is there
anyway to identify which item which is in conflict so may be I can delete
it? Or any other solution to that?

Thanks
KHY

Look for the outstore.log file in your %Temp% directory (type Start ->
Run, and enter %Temp% to get to it) - it should have data on the item
that is having problems.

thanks
I've tried and delete some of the conflict items. the message appears:
2005-01-10 09:29:09 00000870 - Outlook 99 (10.0, build 2627) detected at
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\outlook.exe.
2005-01-10 09:29:17 00000870 - ActiveSync for Microsoft Outlook initialized.
Error: 0x0, 173 Time: 6 seconds
but the "1" sign and the conflict warning still persist. Any solution to
that?

many thx
KK

Tru running scanpst.exe to check for corruption in your Outlook.pst
file - see http://www.slipstick.com/problems/scanpst.htm for further
assistance.

Thanks for bearing with my repeated question. I've try scandisc and
scanpst.exe although I cannot label any error item. The conflict item still
exist during sync. Although I do not really affect the function but it is
quite disturbing.
Any good suggestion?

OK... try running Help -> Detect and Repair in Outlook, then reinstall
ActiveSync.
