Conflicts Resolution

Hi,
I have doubt and diffculties understand one of the rules.
Hope you can help me to understand it better.

Desktop: Leave the item unresolved.

Does it mean that if i would do changes in my Desktop, on sync the changes
will not take effect? I abit confuse here.

The conflict arises when the same item is edited on both platforms
_after_ the last sync was made, so activesync does not have enough
information to determine which edit you want to keep.

The computer can be told in advance to either

always replace the item on the ppc
always replace the item on the pc
do nothing (leave unresolved)

obviously, the last is the safest... you then manually "resolve items"
and tell activesync which item you want to keep item by item.
