Connected through a UPnP firewall

I seem to have got UPnP enabled, but after shutting my computer off last
night, and turning it back on this morning, now my connection status shows
"connected through a UPnP firewall".

Is this a good connection, or is there anything else I need to do? I have
the router firewall set on the lowest setting (allow incoming and outgoing),
and am using software firewall McAfee Personal Firewall at standard setting
with UPnP port 5000 enabled.

No, you're done. It will simply work, that's the whole point of UPnP.

whether i open the UPNP port 5000 in my mcafee firewall or not it dosn't seem
to change the connection status message i'm receiving....(connected through a
UPnP firewall).

(1) do i need to manually have that port (UPNP port 5000) open in the mcafee
personal firewall, or no? Even when i turned the firewall off, it still
showed connected through a UPnP firewall...not sure why.

(2) is there a delay from when you make a change to when your connection
status changes (does it take time for the server to update the info, or do
you need to restart your computer/router or anything)?
