I just installed a new Axim X51 and ActiveSync 4.1 on my laptop and the
green ball just keeps on spinning. I did the same on my desktop computer
and it worked just fine. What seems to be the problem

Are you running any firewall software on the laptop (other than the
built-in Windows firewall)? Are you connecting through a docking
station or hub to the notebook?

I did run PC-Cillin but I disable it and there are no docking stations or
hubs. In the register, there are previous versions of pocket pc's info (2 of
them) under USB controls and maybe that could be causing some sort of
conflict.

Can you try uninstalling PC-Cillin to see if it is the problem?
