Connecting...

I posted a question recently about why my IE8 would say Connecting... and
never connect while I could open another window in the same IE and
successfully connect to the same URL.

Ever since I removed free AVG and installed MSE (Microsoft Security
Essentials) I have not seen this problem again. It started to occur on my
wife's PC and the same solution worked for her too! Both PC's running Vista
Home Premium and IE8.

When you removed AVG, you also removed AVG Linkscanner, Search-Shield,
Active Surf-Shield, and Security toolbar. Coincidence? I don't think so...
