What did you connect your VCR cables to at the computer?

I said "at the computer?"
Did you computer come with audio / video inputs?
Did you install a tuner of some sort with audio / video inputs?
Did you install a video capture card?
If you purchased a video input card / adaptor it should come with software.
If your computer came from the factory with video inputs there should have
been some software to use those inputs. (I think) Are you sure these RCA
jacks (on the computer) are not video / audio OUTPUTS? Those are more
common.
Is your computer a branded "Media Center" computer? Are you sure the RCA
jacks on the computer are labeled Video and Audio IN?

I have a computer with Windows Vista and Windows Media Center. I have a vast library of VHS tapes that I would like to transfer to my Multi Media computer. This will allow me to access them for viewing anywhere in my home with my family and avoid the loss of the video when the tape wears out.

I have a VCR with RCA cables that I am having difficulty in transfering the video to the computer. Please help.

I use Roxio's VHS to DVD package. It includes a USB dongle that you
connect the VCR to and the USB end to your PC. Also includes software.

Another option I have used is a divx box.

Both are purchased items.
