Connecting to a Wireless Router

I have just purchased a Dell desktop with Vista (64-bit) installed. I also
installed a Netgear Wireless Adapter to connect to my router. Sometimes
when I boot up the machine, I will connect to a network entitled
VirtualProfile. When I go to Start\Connect To, I have no problem switching
over to my network. From time to time I will remove the VirtualProfile
network, but it keeps reappearing.

Is this a Vista-created network? On my Vista (32-bit) laptop I have the
option to select what network I want to boot up to, but I have not seen this
choice in the 64-bit version.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts on the subject.

Hi,

Dell often uses their own proprietary software to manage wireless
connections rather than Windows' native service (WLAN). Likely the profile
is being created by Dell's tool, so you'd need to check settings within it.

Go to Network and Sharing Center. Manage Wireless Networks, Remove That
network you don't want to connect to anymore.
