Does Windows Live Messenger allow for connections to my SIP contacts? I
can't find any configuration options to allow for this. Since most of my
Messenger contacts are internal corporate ones, this is important before I
upgrade. Please let me know if this has been considered in this current
version.

Thanks!

Windows Live (or MSN) Messenger will not allow you to connect with your SIP
contacts.

I'm currently using Windows Messenger 5.10680 and my SIP contacts are working
there. Are you saying that this new version will not allow connection to SIP
contacts? If so, will this be fixed at some point?

Windows Live/MSN Messenger is a different product compared to Windows
Messenger.

If you want SIP, you'll need to goto a Microsoft product similar to Office
Communicator or something of that product family.
