Connection Stability and Reliability Is VERY Poor

Hi
For about a month or so now the reliability of Live Messenger connection has
been very poor and on each day I have tried to use it, within mins of
starting a conversation with a friend it disconnects.

Live Messenger used to be (maybe on previous versions) very reliable and
stable but on version 8.1 ..there are clearly still some connectivity issues
that remain as bugs in the system.

Anyone got any advice on when this issue will be fixed ? Are the messenger
team even aware of it ?

Any advice please other than uninstall/rew-install as I have done this 5
times already now.

Tim,
All my colleagues and myself have been experiencing the same issues you
have. WLM will sign in/out probably 50 times a day - NO JOKE! and VERY
annoying! And I have had the disconnect issue as well plus when trying to
converse with someone. I've also noticed I can no longer see my friends
display picutres??? I hope you get a quick response to this post or I'm
going to find another IM program for my colleagues and myself.

I'm having the same problems but haven't found someone with the same problem
as yet. For me it only starts to happen after about 9pm in the evening but
before then it's fine. It happens at least every 2 minutes and I can't have a
conversation with anyone.

I'm using 8.1.0178.00 through Wired and Wireless Netgear DG834GT with
firmware version 1.02.04. I've used two PCs, two different sign-on's as well
both having the same problem.

I've connected through a USB router supplied by my ISP but that doesn't
solve it. So I believe there's a problem somewhere but I can only think the
problem is with the software or server. I've started logging my connection to
the text file so if someone requires that to be pasted when I have a
connection drop I'd be happy to post it.

I've contacted the support for messenger but they seem happy to send an
plain email without reading the problem.

I'm very frustrated.
