Connects to router, but not to internet (I have tried EVERYTHING! help!)

Ok guys, to start things off I recently moved so I had to change from
using a wired connection to a wireless connection. I bought a Netgear
Wireless - N Router (WNR2000) and a Wireless-N 300 USB adapter. I'm
running vista home premium x64 SP2.

Everytime I diagnose the problem, it gives me the "there may be a
problem with your DNS configuration" or the "cannot communicate with
primary dns server". I have tried everything of my power, and I have
called my ISP and router company. Both were useless. I have tried
manually setting my dns servers but it didn't work, and usually gives me
the "cannot communicate.... primary server" junk. I would be very
grateful if you guys could help. Here is my ipconfig :

I think your problem is here. Normally the DNS servers will be
addresses given to you by your IP and will NOT be your router. You
might be able to use the old address especially if you are with the same
provider.

Welcome to the VistaForums! wisegu

The instructions you saw are close to what the ISP used here provide
for adding on a router(hardwired/WiFI too) inline with the cable modem
You first have to shut everything off and patch the router in havin
used Cat #6 ethernet cables here

When first replugging the ac adapter in for the modem here and firin
that up it re-established the ISP's IP address. Then you plug in or tur
the power for router on to see that create a new private IP and act a
if it was your pc

Once that is seen to and you start your system up you may need to g
into the Control Panel>Network section and work on the home group o
setting it to home network if the connection isn't immediate
