Exchange 2003 SP2
iPAQ 6325/PocketPC 2003
Cingular GPRS

Automatic sync ('Sync outgoing items as the are sent' and Sync 'When new
items arrive') fails instantly while trying to initiate GPRS Internet
connection with the error:

CONNMGR_36
Unable to connect. Verify your dialup or proxy settings are correct, and
try again.

When I hit they Sync button in ActiveSync on the iPAQ (manual sync) the
device initiates the connection successfully and syncs.

I only see one default connection that was auto-configured by Cingular

I've factory reset the device and created new accoutns in Exchange.

I've seen this problem reported by other on the net but have never head of a
solution.

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards,

Mike

Hi,
The Connmgr_36 error is:

"The Connection Manager could not find a path to the destination.
- OR -
Unable to connect. Verify your dialup or proxy settings are correct, and try
again"

Thank you, Chris.

I would suspect the relevet part of the error is:
2. There is no connection available for the device to communicate with the
server.

The relevant advice is:
1. Verify the connectivity settings on your device.
3. Ensure the device can access Internet sites.

I have 'verified my connectivity settings' BY 'Ensuring the device can
access Interent sites'.

Still seeking the resolution.

Thank you,

Mike
