I have 3 email addresses (accounts) from my isp. They all show up in my
folder pane separately and each has their own "inbox", "trash", etc. folders.
Can I set it up so that all the mail comes into just 1 inbox and there is
just 1 "sent", "trash", etc.? Can I make the individual accounts invisible
in the folder pane?

Try "View - Layout - Folder pane - select "show Quick View" check box. This
will put all of the unread mail from all of the Inboxes into one. Then you
can collapse all of the individual accounts so you only the major account
header and not all the folders under it. The little triangles at the left
of them allow you to expand them if you need to.

Unfortunately you are not able to do that in WLM, though there are ways you
can accomplish the same thing by using the quickviews and collapsing the
accounts in the left window pane. If you truly want to have only one inbox,
trash, etc... then you'll have to use another program such as Thunderbird
for example.

Right click on Quick views, Select Quick views, check the folders wanted.

The emails are still in the original folders.

Or create a rule to move incoming to one account's Inbox. (Rules are applicable to pop3 accounts)

I am accustomed to using Outlook or Outlook Express. In that software the
user can delete all email from all accounts at once. Going through account
by account is a crappy user experience. I wouldn't think Microsoft IAs would
design the software in this way. However, they've made it really hard to
figure out how to get the Deleted Items in Quick View. Anyone know how to do?

PS: Also looking for help on finding an advanced Search that's closer to the
old XP advanced search if anyone can point me to a thread on that, much
obliged.

Quick View does not have an option to add a Deleted Items folder for an account or all accounts.

The Maintenance tab in WLM(Tools/Options/Maintenance) has an option to 'Empty messages from the Deleted Items folder on exit.
- The only other route is to access each account Deleted Items and delete messages or highlight each account's Deleted items
folder (left hand pane) with the mouse to view the 'X', click X, then delete.

I'm using XP, and I'm not sure what you mean by 'XP advanced search'.
Still, have you tried Ctrl-Shift-F or Edit > Find? That looks pretty
advanced to me. That said, the 'Find a message' word wheel is usually much
faster at finding messages, and it's much more convenient. Since you say
'old XP' I assume you've moved on to a newer OS - on XP you would have to
download and install Windows (Desktop) Search to get full value out of the
word wheel.
