entered contact address," instant messaging address not valid"
it is a valid address
every time I try to delete it and re enter it
same message

Which dialog are you trying to enter this into? Also, can you provide us with an example of
what you're entering (maybe obfuscate it a little)?

Downloaded wlm
entered contacts / all o.k. with the exception of one contact.
() error message. "the instant messaging address is not
valid"
Checked address / spelling / case etc all o.k. sent email / address valid /
definitely
Deleted WLM (control panel delete)
Installed WLM (latest build)
Still same problem / checked various forums / stickies / Microsoft / etc.

Have since been advised that perhaps the persons email address needs to be
associated with their passport .net account.
Would this be the answer?
