Greetings,
Actually this problem has been heard of time and time again with changing ones Windows Live
ID address. Generally, the fix is switch your account back to the old address and try again.
Unfortunately when transferring it to a Hotmail address you cannot switch back.
This is entirely a server-side problem and there isn't anything you personally can really do
about it besides contact Messenger Support Services and having it escalated:
