Contact folder confusion

Using Vista home premium -- my windows mail contact list is a photo folder
instead of a contact folder -- instead of having the options to create a new
contact or a contact group I can burn to disk, run a slide show, etc. The
only way I can add a new contact is to create a new message, click on TO:
then click on new contact. Of course, this means no contact groups. What
must I do to change the properties & get the correct commands?

Sounds like your Contacts folder is using the Music folder Template.
Open your contacts folder>right click in a blank area to the right>choose
customise this folder>from the drop down list choose Contacts>apply>OK

Hello PSJ,

You will just need to change your folder template back to "Contacts"
instead for the Contacts folder to have the usual "New Contact" toolbar
button back. This tutorial below can help show you how to if needed.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
