Contact List - Did not delete

Yesterday I spent 2 hours cleaning out my contact list after I had uploaded
them from Outlook. Also had to delete 300 duplicates as I had loaded from
Outlook twice by mistake. Worked in Desktop Mail to delete unwanted contact
and once completed went to bed. Today I turn my computer on and I find that
all the contacts I deleted have instead been added again to my contact list!
What went wrong.

I have exactly the same issue: I spent a lot of time cleansing my contact
list but my modifications don't seem to be sync with my Live/Messenger
contacts list. So the next time I had access my contact list via WLMd, all
my modifications were lost

Live Contacts programmers, hear us. There is a problem with synchronization
of Windows Live contacts. I think dominant synchronizer is our hard drive and
when we sign in, our hard drive synchronize the Contacts' server, not be
synchronized from the server.

I also had this problem importing contacts. Took me a couple of hours ant 2
attempts to get it done eventually. I think the problem was having Messenger
open at the same time. Messenger and WLMd contact lists seemed to conflict.
Once I shut down Messenger and retried it all went reasonably smoothly.
