Contact list does not appear in Live for first time after using v7

Hi

Both myself and some friends are yet to move to Live messenger as when we
first or subsequently logged in, no contacts appeared in our list. We have
all been messenger users for many years and have large contact lists that we
dont want to have to import and have reauthorised.

Can you advise the cause/fix to this problem?

Hmmm... that should work just fine. How long do you stayed signed-in? I
wonder if it is taking a while to download the contact list.

I checked with the developer they suggested you try Messenger 8.1 Beta:
