Contact list issue

Hi,

I have selected the option for "This is a shared computer so do not store my
address book, display pictures, or personal messages on it." under security
tab. I tried to add users to my list. Every time I signed in, I discover the
contact list to be at either 998 or 999. May I know how to solve the issue of
disappearing contacts?

I am using @hotmail.com. It seems that when I added someone, the name
appears only for that login session. After logging out and logging in, the
name will disappear from the list, the number of contacts in the list will
also be reverted back to the previous count. It seems that I am still in the
contact list of the other party. When the other party messages me, he seems
to be offline and not in the list. Trying to add from the conversation window
did not work.

Thanks for your help. Is there any way to retrieve updates that are not
reflected in messenger? Is there any limitation(s) for the addition of
contacts?
