Very strange issue. I originally setup my .net passport to point to my
previous work e-mail address. Recently my company changed names so I changed
my .net passport (at least i think I did) to a hotmail address. I have no
problems logging in, however my IM keeps dropping my contacts connectivity
(shows them off-line). In some cases the user shows on-line but they show me
off-line and vice versa. On several occasions I have attempted to re-add my
contacts but they users never receives my invite and vice versa. I spoke with
a friend of mine and when he shows me online it shows my correct new hotmail
email address, however when IM does it freaky issue it will show me off-line
and the e-mail address show my old work address. I have over 40 users on my
IM contact list and at this very moment only 1 shows on-line (and I know for
a fact that at least 20 users are currently online. Even if I remove and
readd the contacts they will only show up online for a few days then it will
show them offline again. I have e-mailed tech support and have attempted
their suggested fixes to no avail. I have checked my .net passport account
and everywhere else I can think of to see what or why when I show off-line my
old work e-mail address still shows up. Am I missing something? Even if I log
in to IM on another computer my list still shows everyone off-line (so I know
its not my computer nor the software. Something, somewhere is still
referencing my old e-mail address. I just don't know where to look... Please
help!!!
