Contact List Sequence questions

Background: I have been using WM for a couple of years. I
have a contact list of perhaps 200 names. I have now
downloaded and am experimenting with WLM. WLM apparently is
using the same contact list that WM uses, but seems to sort
names in a different manner. I'm still trying to decode the
new sequence, but it still seems to include all of my
contacts, just not in the same order, or in an easily
understood order. As part of my experimentation I have
deleted some contacts from the list, as accessed via WM, and
see that those deleted contacts are still there when
accessed via WLM.

Questions:

1. Are there two places on my computer (Running Vista
Ultimate 64-bit, SP-2, IE-8, WM-6, and WLM, classic mode,
dial-up.) where contact information is stored?

2. If only one, how can I have WLM check that place to see
if there are changes?

3. If more than one place, how might I find the one that
WLM uses?

4. How does WLM sort names, with particular reference to
names entered as: bob, a/bob, b/bob, #bob, 1bob, a/m/bob?

Many thanks.

Maybe you need to try AOL or go with a Linux distro like Ubuntu where you might not
have these concerning issues

My answer to you was based on your multiposting (hopefully others will see this )

Multiposting? What multiposting? Within the past couple of
hours I posted several distinctly different questions about
WLM to only one newsgroup -
microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop. Are you
suggesting that there was something inappropriate about
those posts - or does your reference to AOL contain some
genuinely useful information that I missed?

CW,
The answer to all of your questions on hiding or removing WLM buttons/shortcuts/etc is No(they can not be hidden).

Since you chose not to include the tail of this thread about contacts in your latest reply, I'll answer that in this response

WLM does not use the same contact list as WM. Windows Mail creates and uses a hidden database for each Live ID or the Default
account(No Live ID used to sign on to Windows Live). Windows Mail stored contacts in a different location with each contact as an
individual file.

WLM may appear to be using the same contacts due to migrating from WM prior to creating its own database(noted above)
