Contact lists not the same

I just upgraded to win 7 and install windows live mail. The contact lists
imported but are different WLM. The contact list that drops down when
prepareing a email and clicking 'to' is not the same as the one in the lower
left contack icon. I can edit those in the contact icon but not those from
the 'to' list. How do I make them alike and correct?

Does the TO list have more e-mail addresses that the Contact list?

That's normal if you have any contacts with more than one e-mail address
(e.g. Personal, Work, etc.). The Contact list will show just once per
contact with the default e-mail address. The TO list will show all
e-mail addresses.

About half the 'to' lists a wrong. How do I edit it? The program picked up
old old list from some where.

I just start typing a name. The more letters typed, the shorter the list
displayed.

I have the same problem, when I click To: I get a list that is much different
than the list I get when I click the "Contacts" icon in the lower left of the
screen when I'm logged into one of my 2 "Live" accounts. Not only is it
different, but it's much shorter. I have over 1500 contacts at
contacts.live.com but only 150 or so show up when I click the To: button when
creating an email message. I'm running Windows 7 on a machine that was
upgraded from Vista. The list on contacts.live.com was created from an
Outlook export to a .csv file.

I think you have posted in that cranky web interface.
You have added your request to another's thread which is nearly two months
old.
Yours could get missed. Would suggest that you start your own thread so it
appears to date.
Also, it might be a good idea to use the newsgroups - much faster and easier
to follow etc - no different to using email.
