Contact pictures

Hi,

I've been using Live Messenger 2009 since ~1 month now. Everything works
fine but since a few days I can not see the pictures of my contacts anymore
(in main window. I see them in conversation windows)... Wierd, I did not
change anything. Actually I only see the pictures of my contacts who have
internal WLM pictures, but no "personal" pictures.
Any clue?

Is it just the standard gray-coloured empty buddy icon or the just the small coloured square
icon? I'm sure you are probably aware of this already, but one of the features of 2009 is
that it shows some categories as pictures as opposed to the status squares for the other
categories. Is it possible that's what you reseeing?

You can configure this by pressing the Alt key on the keyboard, choosing the Tools menu, then
Options, then the Layout section and under the Contact list heading will be the options for
modifying the defaults.

Hi Jonathan,

thanks for your reply. It was the gray-coloured empty buddy icon that I saw.
And yes I'm aware of this new feature of WLM 2009 but it was definitely a
kind of bug, not a problem of settings.
Anyway, I closed WLM this evening and started it again and now it seems that
personal pictures of my contacts are back...

No clue about what happened, maybe I should just restart my computer more
often!!

Hi,

Besides being a bug, it's possible that you'd run out of desktop heap or some other resource
in the system. Well at least it's resolved
