Hello All,

I too have had this issue. I changed my Passport email address and now all
my contacts in Messenger appear OFFLINE. I have tried using the support
process, and have received 2 responses, each of them suggesting that I export
my contact list, then delete them all (individually, as you can't "Select
All"), and re-import them. They even suggested this may take 48 hours or
more. Well, it has been over a week now, and still no resolution.

I even got a survey sent to me to ask me about my Support Experience. I am
sure if I had actually received a solution, I would have scored them better.

Does anyone out there have any other suggestions for me to try? A week
without Messenger? You might as well just take my first born!! I am SO far
out of touch now ... Thanks All ...

I had similar problems, and still have, my deleting and adding them made no
difference they still apeared offline to me what did make a difference, was
being deleted and re-added by them and then having them block and unblock me,
then believe it or not they appeared online. This is one hell of a glitch and
for microsoft not to have a solution to this problem is ridiculous, believe t
or not i have come across a lot of people with this problem. I sincerely
hope this works for you. The other problem i faced was in updating my
profile my ninemsn nic wont change yet its signed in with live id and when i
click change it goes to live id where it has change and is changed in
messenger as well, just another glitch.
