contacts cant see me on live messenger using VX1000 life-cam

My contacts do not see me, though they can hear me on windows live messenger. I'm having a life-cam VX1000 and Skype has no problem with it.
Im running windows Vista home Premium 32 bit.
I've already reinstalled the software and followed the step by step wizard on the messenger menu.
Does anyone have a clue?
