contacts in cyrillic not readable

contacts in cyrillic not readable

I'm using windows live messenger in windows vista(tm) pre-rc1. Russian
language is installed (and works in word etc). But contacts written in
cyrillic are completely garbled.
How can I make them readable?

It works now. They had been garbled in the update to vista (tm) pre-rc1. But
I could retype them properly,
