I searched and saw some discussion on this, but no resolution.
I recently (past week or less) changed my Windows Live Login email address.
Around the same time, I was prompted to upgrade Windows Live Messenger to
2009 and I did at both computers where I use messenger. One PC is XP home
(personal), one is XP Pro (work).
Now, my work PC does not see my contacts, but my home PC does. I only have
one contact, my wife, and she's missing. If I try to add her back in, I get
the message that she's not using messenger.
Signing into Windows Live, she shows up there as using messenger.
I attempted to delete my contacts cache per the help files, but the paths
listed there don't match the paths on my PC (yes, I had hidden folders
shown). I tried uninstalling Messenger and reinstalling, but still no
contacts.
What is the fix here?
