Contact's version

Is there anyway to tell what version of MSN/Live Messenger a contact is on?

Not really. There's a few tricks, for instance hitting the Voice Clip button and seeing if
it goes through (if they're using a version of Messenger prior to 7.5, it will inform you
that you can't send a voice clip).
