Contactws showing offline

I've been using live messenger for a long time. This morning all my contacts
are showing offline when they are online. I restarted the app, my pc,
uninstalled, reinstalled. Same issue. Using rev. 8.5 1302.1018

Is it perhaps that the contacts have selected to appear offline?

No, I have a second computer showing them online. I have also made sure there
are no changes in my norton settings. It is set to "allow" for messenger.
