Continually being asked to install KB867801

      08-01-2004
After installing KB867801, via Windows Update, I am being
continually prompted to install it again. Once the 1st
installation has been completed Win. U/date tells me that
the installation was successful. On re-booting the
computer and running Win. Update again, I'm being told to
install it again. How can this problem be resolved? Does
anyone have any ideas?

If you were lucky enough to actually not have installed KB867801 - I would recommend that you do not attempt a second download. Myself and two other individuals are having fairly major systems problems with constant program freezing, closing and rebooting since the install....which only seems to get worse if you uninstall. My friend has actually taken his PC into a Tech where he bought it as his machine ultimately became unable to load windows.....I'll let you know what I find out.

Any further tips? This did not seem to work for me for KB835732.
