How to continue an interupted backup?

Hi:

I was getting back for 5 hours, and I ran out of DVD, I went out to get DVD.
when i came back my Laptop has been shut down. How can I continue getting
back up from the point I missed it?

To be honest with you, I would invest in an External drive, right now, you
are just making hard on your self right now.

Andre, So in this case I should forget about those DVDs and restarted the
back up again on an external hard drive, what if I do not have an external
hard drive ? Is there any way to continue my work from the point that laptop
turned off?
