Continued attempts to update fail

Receive failed update notification for "Windows Genuine Advantage Validation
Tool (KB892130)" no matter what I do for the last couple days. I tried
disabling Norton antivirus, and spyware doctor, also tried a clean boot and
other things that probably made no sense to try. Others have been having
this problem after recently being affected with spyware/adware and I also
have had that problem within the last week. What else can I do?

Won't help if you're installing that update manually... <w>

Try finding an install log for the failing update instead?
