Control Panel, My computer Properties, Personalize...Not working !

Im on ULTIMATE....everything was working fine until today morning..Suddenly
control panel, flip 3d, My computer Properties, Personalize, Backup n Restore
Center....
Everythin has Stopped working !!!!all else working good.....i suppose this
happened after i installed an update. Now cant even remove tht update or
Restore my PC....

HELP !!!!!!

N even Windows Update is not opening frm d Notification Area.....
HELPPPPP !!!!!!!!

Got a restore point?
Did you get the update via the Windows Update function? Or did it come from
somewhere else?

Why don't you do a system restore, either from Windows or from the install
DVD if you can't from Windows. I've never seen windows update in the
notification except when it is actually downloading of telling you of
updates ready to install. You uninstall them from control panel/uninstall a
program if that is what you think it is, but since no one else is having
your problem, it would appear to be something you installed.

It was an update from MS....Anyways, i repaired it through SYS RESTORE during
boot....I just wonder what it was.....
